The Free Eggs Experiment:

The Free Eggs Experiment:

One day we thought it would would be fun to go into Portland and hand out samples of our Seedyeggs to unsuspecting bicyclists on the esplanade. We figured that peddle pushers, and pedestrians would be able to absorb all the nutrients from our well exercised, lean eggs into their bodies, while exercising. We decided to do this in a high traffic area to move our eggs more quickly, we want them to be consumed while they are fresh after all.

We made some smiles that day, spread some "eggy goodness", and had so much fun, because it was a whole lot more fun to just hand out the eggs for free, than to try to convince people of their fine quality, in order to get them buy them from us. We really can't make chicken feed, for what most people are used to paying for eggs, especially on as small a scale as we feel we need to operate in our forest.

We have decided to make more of a game of it. We will go out and share our eggs for free, and people can, if they like, send us a picture of whatever they cook with the eggs, to post here on Seedyeggs,  So, we can all have fun seeing the different tables where those eggs get eaten.

. . . and If anybody is extra thrilled by what we do, there is a tip jar at the bottom of the page, to help pay our expenses, and to further encourage our crazy.

  2. i got a sixer of these eggs (for free) on my way home in the dark from a long valentine's day. i just hard boiled and ate three. they were phenomenal. while they were hard to peel (the internets say the freshest eggs don't peel well), i have never had a more delicious yolk.

i'd be happy to purchase a dozen or so a week (especially if i could do it on the way home from work at that same bridge). thanks for an egg-cellent lunch!

sorry, i couldn't resist the pun.
