Chicken Lounge

After the chickens busy mornings, grazing in the forest, laying eggs, 

 and checking on the what the humans are doing, they like to take a rest.

In the afternoon the chickens become quiet and like to lounge in a nice soft, dry,

preferably sunny, and certainly dusty spot. Chickens like to dig little dusty holes by laying on their sides and kicking at the dirt.  They bath in the dust by rolling around in, and flicking dust up over their backs.

 

Then they like to sit in their holes and soak up the sun, 

 

and maybe snuggle a little.

After the chickens have their lounge time, they go back out into the forest all refreshed, and ready, to scratch up their supper.
